What is there to do in the area?
At Seal Bay Glamping Retreat you are welcome to wander the trails, bring your canoe, kayak, paddleboard, sunscreen and bug repellent and enjoy a day out on the water, or relax in the natural surroundings.
Seal Bay Glamping Retreat is ideally located to explore beyond the site! Drive to Lund and take a water taxi to Savary Island and hike or rent a bike and ride the perimeter of the island. Enjoy the white sandy beaches and some of the warmest waters north of Mexico! Stop at Nancy’s Bakery and pick up some homemade treats before you depart! Visit Desolation Sound Marine Provincial Park – with over 60 km of shoreline, several islands, the warm waters of the park are ideal for swimming and scuba diving. If you’re visiting us on a weekend, don’t miss Powell River’s Farmer’s Market. Mountain biking, hiking, fishing, diving…the activities are endless for the outdoor enthusiast.
Rainy day ideas – visit Powell River! Check out the museum., do a tour of the historic Patricia Theatre – and take in a movie. Do a gallery walk -Powell River features local artists in its multiple galleries. Enjoy great coffee and homemade treats in one of the local coffee shops, or grab a pint of craft beer at Townsite Brewing, Powell River’s only craft brewery.

General Information
Is the glamping site family friendly?
Yes! All ages are welcome at Seal Bay Glamping Retreat! Please note that accommodation can only be booked by individuals 19 and older.
Is the glamping site pet friendly?
Yes! Some of our cottages are designated pet friendly and if you are staying at one of the tent or RV sites your pet is welcome. All pets must ensure their human keeps them leashed while outside and that their human ensures all their waste is disposed of properly.
Is the glamping site smoke free?
All of the accommodation provided at Seal Bay Glamping Retreat is non-smoking. Please ensure that any smoking debris is disposed of properly.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking is provided on-site.
Is there WiFi?
Yes, the majority of accommodation units provide complimentary wifi and wifi is available in the common areas.
Pricing and Taxes:
All prices are exclusive of taxes. Taxes will be calculated separately and detailed in the invoice.
Waste Disposal:
Seal Bay Glamping Retreat is located in a sensitive, natural eco-system. Ensure all waste is disposed of properly and food and other personal items are stored properly.
Emergency Procedures:
In case of emergency, call 911 then notify the front desk.

Important Notice for Guests with Minors:
Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout their stay. The accompanying adult is fully responsible for the minor's actions and any damages incurred during the stay.
Location Information
Your adventure begins with the journey here! Seal Bay Glamping Retreat is accessible by ferry or air. Please note that should you choose to fly, there are minimal car rentals available in Powell River. While the area continues to work at sustainable transportation including regular bus service and a designated bike trail, currently, a vehicle is recommended for exploring the Sunshine Coast.

Vancouver

Seal Bay Glamping Retreat
From the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal in West Vancouver, take the ferry to Langdale on the Lower Sunshine Coast, approximately 40 minutes.
Buy ticket here : https://www.bcferries.com/routes-fares/schedules/seasonal/HSB-LNG- After disembarking follow Highway 101 north through Sechelt to the end of the peninsula and the loading point for the second ferry at Earl’s Cove, approximately 90 minutes.
The ferry from Earl’s Cove to Saltery Bay on the Upper Sunshine Coast is another 50 minutes.

From Comox (Little River) - Powell River (Westview)
The Little River Terminal is located in the Comox Valley on the east coast of Vancouver Island. The terminal is a 10-minute drive north of the town of Comox. Travel time to Powell River (Westview) is 90 minutes. Seal Bay Glamping Retreat is a 25-minute drive from Westview Ferry Terminal.
